The Oxford English Dictionary defines career as “an individual’s course or progress through life”. Basically, it refers to remunerative work, sometimes formal education. A person can have a career with an associate’s degree, a bachelor’s degree or even a high school diploma.
A career is seen as a course in a person’s work life. Today, the idea of a career focuses more on a defined set of pursuits looking forward. To have a fulfilling career, a person is required to establish goals and work towards realizing them.
