It’s graduation time once again, and new college graduates are in for a not-so good surprise. First, the U.S. economy is slowing down and many people believe the employment market is experiencing mild recession already. This makes competition stiffer than ever. To stand out, new college graduates have to gain the confidence of employers, otherwise they get overshadowed by established workers.

Given the above, new college graduates have to acquire workplace skills once they land the job. They have to adapt to the new working environment, from the people to the nature of their work. They have to learn fast and show competence in front of the bosses to ensure that they get the nod in every situation.
